Figure 5 shows a simple two-channel multiplexer system using two CA3080 OTA devices. The maximum level-shift from input to output is low (approximately 2mV for the CA3080A and 5mV for the CA3080). This shift is determined by the amplifier input offset voltage of the particular device used, because the open-loop gain of the system is typically 100dB when the loading on the output of the CA3080A is low. To further increase the gain and reduce the effects of loading, an additioanl buffer and/or gain- stage may be added. Methods will be shown to successfully perform these functions. |
